Smithfield Meat Market - City of London - Imagery Stills.

It was an early visit to the traders meat market, around 4am.  At this fragile time of the morning I don't think I was ready for what I found there.  The meat at Harrods hardly looked like meat anymore it was so well prepared, but the freshest, rawest was here at the market.  The pig and sheep heads were particularly unnerving, but the difference between the two was more striking than anything.  The pig, like the fish at Harrods, looked like it could just be sleeping, still complete with its skin, just no body.  In comparison the sheep were nightmarish, their skin had be taken off exposing the skulls and wide eyes that didn't have any lids left to blink.
