Photo shoot Props.

My concept to include the jigsaw puzzle was to create a metallic backdrop for the photoshoot.  I wanted the jigsaw to have purpose in the image and by spraying it metallic silver, it looked to be like the metallic counter as if the box were in a market or fishmongers.  But further than that, I wanted it to compliment the image more than just a metallic background would have because of its texture as a jigsaw puzzle. When sprayed it reminded me of the fish scale, because it is a concentric pattern and different pieces though next to each other catch the light in different ways.  This gave a more interesting texture while still reflecting the box to make the image appear deeper.

The polysterene box was the real deal from a fishmongers in Preston Market.  I kept the box white, because, along with the paleness of the ice, I thought it would draw the focus to its contents.  My ideas for accessories were not strongly coloured, so I need to make sure they would be the strong focus of the images, along with the seafood.
