I'm definitely not a seafood lover, so getting this close to the fish section wasn't my favourite task. However, looking back, there's something quite striking about the simplicity in the way they're arranged. Left whole, they look like they're just frozen in the ice waiting to come back to life. That is until you see their banded claws, the hooks through their heads and slit bellies.
The meat in comparison looked as though it had been through the hands of an expert butcher. Not always the prettiest of things, every kind of meat was trussed up into tidy rolls, looking ready to go straight in the oven.
The food hall even had the end result, what it all looked like on the plate. If anything, I think these constructed plates were less dainty and well crafted than their component parts had been displayed.
